For my radio news package this year I was required to produce an on the day story, which required me to go into university in the morning (28,10, 2016) read my brief and then to go out and produce a 1 minute 30 second radio package which had to be finished and submitted for assessment by 5:30 that evening.
I decided to travel to RSPB Arne nature reserve that morning, as my news story was going to be based on the fact that BBC Autumnwatch had been broadcasting live from the reserve that week. I wished to discuss how the week had gone for the team and to hear about their plans for when the BBC return to Dorset for Winterwatch. I arranged interviews with BBC Autumnwatch Engineering Manager Gareth Wildman and RSPB Arne’s Project Manager for Autumnwatch Sarah Webb. I had a nice day out looking round the reserve and chatting to the volunteers and subsequently put the package together in the afternoon. You can listen to my radio package by clicking the link below:
